May 1st (Saturday) - LOYALTY DAY

Loyalty Day in Wilbraham Park as a day of patriotism. Enacted in 1958 by President Eisenhower through an act of Congress, Loyalty Day celebrates the American people and their patriotic courage. This event is organized annually by the Peterson Little Post #386 of the Veterans of Foreign War.
May 8th (Saturday) - COMMUNITY SHRED DAY
10:00am - 2:00pm
The Borough will host a Community Shred Day with services provided by ProShred Security. Documents will be securely destroyed immediately. All ProShred employees will be in uniform with a photo ID and are guaranteed to have had a criminal background check, are certified and highly trained. This event is open to residents outside of West Cape May as well.

We strongly encourage participants to drop their boxes and quickly exit the premises to avoid interference with social distancing guidelines. Please be considerate and follow social distancing guidelines when dropping off your boxes to be shredded.
May 15th (Saturday) - COMMUNITY YARD SALE
9:00am - 2:00pm
We will offer recycling at it's finest with the WCM Borough Wide Yard Sale. The sale will be advertised in local papers. Set up in front of your home. Sell your stuff, come rain or come shine! Please register at Borough Hall or by calling (609) 884-1005 x 100.
May 19th (Wednesday) - BULK TRASH DAY
BULK trash pickup Includes: furniture, mattresses, boards, tied tree limbs and pieces of wood (not more than 5 feet in length, not more than 50 pounds). NOT included: tree stumps, cast iron, metal pipes, demolition/construction material, cars or car parts, TV sets, computers, white items (refrigerators, sinks, etc.). For more information, please visit the Public Works Department Page on the Borough's website. Items must be curbside by 7am for pick up.
May 29th (Saturday) - ELECTRONIC WASTE DISPOSAL
9:00am - 2:00pm
The West Cape May Environmental Commission hosts an Electronic Waste Recycling Event at Borough Hall, 732 Broadway, West Cape May. This FREE, one-day event is open to all; schools, business and homeowners are encouraged to participate. You do not have to be a resident of West Cape May to bring your electronic waste for recycling. Items to be collected are as follows: cell phones, computers, laptops, modems, computer monitors, televisions, desktop printers and desktop fax machines. Items NOT ACCEPTED are items such as: microwaves, stoves, washers and dryers. Items to be recycled MAY NOT be dropped off prior to 9:00am.
June 5th (Saturday) - STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
9:00am - 5:00pm
Sponsored by the West Cape May Business Association, the Strawberry Festival has become an eagerly anticipated event each spring. Strawberries abound in both edible and non edible form. Festivities begin at 9:00am and continue until 5:00pm at the Borough's Backyard Park, located behind the Fire House at 732 Broadway. The rain date is June 28th. June 19th (Saturday) - ANTIQUE SHOW & SALE
9:00am - 5:00pm
The Greater Cape May Historical Society invites you to help preserve a piece of history and enjoy a beautiful day in the Borough of West Cape May at Wilbraham Park from 9:00am until 5:00pm. Tourists and locals alike will find it fun looking (and buying) the many antiques and wares offered. The Colonial House Restoration Fund will benefit from the proceeds. June 29 - August 31st (Tuesdays Only) - FARMERS' MARKET

By popular demand, the market will once again run a full ten weeks, every Tuesday beginning June 29 through August 31, 2021, between 3:00pm and 7:30pm. The market is located at the West Cape May Municipal Complex at the Backyard Park, 732 Broadway. We look forward to another bountiful season!

Rain or shine, the Market will be open! The Market features not only fresh produce and herbs, but, among others, purveyors of antiques; live art demonstrations; fresh coffee; barbecue, seafood and kettle corn.

Come for the produce... linger for the wonderful sense of community as the sun begins to dip. Grab a lite dinner from one of our vendors, share some time with family and friends and relax listening to a variety of local musical talent. This wonderful community event aims to bring in more artists and unusual vendors, as well as increase the involvement of young people in the event each year.

The Tomato Festival in the Borough's Backyard Park (732 Broadway, behind the Fire House) celebrates the Jersey Fresh Tomato and the end of the summer season! Festivities begin at 9:00am and continue until 4:00pm. Proceeds from the quirky event benefit the WCM Shade Tree Commission in their endeavor to protect and improve the tree canopy of West Cape May. Come on out and share in the spirit of community.

Always the first Saturday in December, The WCM Community Christmas Parade sets the stage for the areas holiday season. Now in its 56th year, the parade steps off at 5:00pm sharp from the WCM Volunteer Firehouse and marches South on Broadway, winds East on Perry, and onto Carpenter Lane in the City of Cape May. A small army of volunteers assemble an unforgettable hometown memory each year! The Parade reschedules to December 6th in the event of inclement weather.
